Agility brings a unique approach to putting investors together with projects. This is our operating and investing philosophy:

  1. Long Term Focus: We like to execute projects that have a long expected lifespan. We do not initiate projects with the goal of an 'exit strategy' where we seek to sell the company or divest our investment. We're in it for the long haul.

  2. Focus on Execution: We like to take a "hands-on" approach to our projects so that its execution can be closely monitored and measured and improved to create proper value. Our goal is to create extremely robust operating models so that the companies we create have the ability to survive over the long term.

  3. Genuine Value: We like to create genuine long-term value by active and engaged project management and we don't focus on 'short term value' based on financial engineering.

For Investors: As an investor (or an investment group) looking to deploy capital to produce long term equity appreciation as well as a steady fixed income stream, we will work with you to understand your risk tolerance and time horizons, along with other metrics to quantify your expectations. We will then propose a plan that can be any combination of the following:

  1. Existing projects: the capital can be deployed in existing projects where its full history of capital appreciation and fixed income can be examined.

  2. Project Match: we will match your investment with projects we have under consideration or proposals we have outstanding based on if the implementation of that projec we will solicit proposals, or will reach out to our network and build a custom project that can be built from the ground-up to meet your specific requirements (e.g. location, industry, etc.)

For Entrepreneurs: If you have a proposal that you believe has value, we will work with you to match that with our investment community to fund its execution on terms that are agreeable and beneficial to all concerned. We initiate new projects on the following criteria:

  1. Long Term Potential: Is the project going to provide long term, consistent value and cash flows? How susceptible is the underlying business model to changes in technologies, socio-economics, demographics, etc.?

    1. Example: For instance, while many web startups have recently caught the world’s attention, their lack of a clearly articulated revenue model and questions about their longevity will disqualify such projects from consideration from our standpoint.

    2. Example: Projects in Water, Energy, Food, Infrastructure, etc., are long lifespan projects and do have the type of revenue and cash flow models that allow us to consider such ventures for implementation.

  2. Entrepreneur Involvement: How eager and committed is the entrepreneur with executing this project for the long term considering that our model is based on continuing operations and not on 'easy exits'?

In many cases, aligned with our 'agile' philosophy of being "Always Ready", we will ourselves put together proposals and approach investors if we see ideas with potential. Agility will also be ready to deploy its own capital in such projects and will put the team together to implement and operate the project.
